Whose rules apply
Ribbon Hall is ten independent businesses in one building.
The hall's rules
The hall sets the hours, the building and how we treat each other and our clients. Everyone is welcome and everyone is treated with respect.
Each stylist's rules
Each stylist is an independent business. They set their own prices, deposit and notice for moving or canceling, and those appear on their booking page before you confirm.
If something goes wrong
Tell the stylist first. If that doesn't settle it, tell us at the front desk and we will help.
Our policies
What to expect before you book, written plainly. Where a policy belongs to a stylist, it says so.
Booking and deposits
Book online or call, and choose a stylist, a service and a time. Longer services may hold the time with a deposit that goes toward the service; the stylist's booking page says. We confirm by text or email.
Canceling and running late
Each stylist sets their own notice for moving or canceling, and it shows on their booking page. If you are running late, call the hall and we will tell your stylist.
If you miss an appointment
If you miss an appointment without notice, your stylist may keep the deposit, and may ask for one to book your next visit.
Children and companions
Children are welcome in the waiting area with an adult. Whether a stylist can cut a child's hair, and how long that takes, is on their page. Please arrange care for long color and braiding days.
Patch tests and allergies
Tell your stylist at the consultation about any past reaction to color. We can do a patch test at least 48 hours before your service, and if anything itches or burns during a visit, say so right away.
If you're not happy
Results vary with your hair and its history. If you are not happy with your hair, tell us within a few days and we'll make it right: your stylist will look at it with you and say what can be adjusted.
Tipping
Tipping is welcome and never expected. You can tip your stylist at checkout or in cash.
Pick a stylist and book a chair
Every stylist books their own calendar. Choose who you want and when.
